The Mighty Jehad

I was riding my camog through the Sahara Desert, sweat was coming down my face as i pushed my Camog to go faster and faster. I turned back and saw the group of ninja warriors that we chasing us ever since we stormed out of the city of Ciro with the golden camel. They were gaining on us I could feel the ninja stars wizzz by my face, I just kept my head low and pushed my camog to go faster. I began to fear that i might not be able to get out of this, I thought of all the treasures i had risked my life for in times past, but i quickly came to my senses and decided this would not be my last ride. I saw in the distance a small canyon that I knew the ninja warriors wouldn't be able to jump across, but then again I wasn't sure I could make it either. I just put on the steam more and more in hopes i would be able to make it across the canyon. I drew closer and closer until i was at the edge ready to take off, in the longest jump i had ever attempted. My eyes narrowed, my heart stopped, i lost feeling in my legs and hands, my camog and I became one. We leaped off the ledge, almost perfectly, i closed my eyes. Five seconds later I felt the first foot reach the other side, I had made it to ride once again. All the ninjas had fallen short and were sucked into the depths of canyon. My name is Jehad and I am the raider of treasures, I battle creatures and monsters big and small, I fight ninja warriors, I fight ferocious enemy's, but that's another story for another night.

"Who created whats cool and whats not? Who decides whats normal? Whats wrong with different? You want the answer?

The person who creates whats cool and not is YOU.

The person who decides whats normal is YOU.

There's nothing wrong with different

YOU are the ruler of Your kingdom, and the sculptor of Your own statue, and the driver of Your own car, and the boss of Your own life, and the designer of Your life.

YOU are what makes you YOU!" -Jason

Dungeons & Dragons

In class before we left on our turkey break, Mr.Ross read to us a story of a mother who's son committed suicide. She continued on telling the story of how she found two Dungeons & Dragons books in the stack that he used to boost himself to the rope. So there for she blames Dungeons & Dragons for the death of her son, and continues on to clam that it is a colt and a good parents so not let there children play this game or any others like it. We were instructed to write a response to her story and thoughts.

First off I would like to extend my deepest regards to you and your loss that you have endured, it truly is tragic to lose a loved one especially a son and to such a terrible death. My deepest sorrow for you and your loss. Although it is tragic and shocking, I do believe you have taken this Dungeons & Dragons opinions to an extreme level. I really do not believe this fantasy roll play game is what caused your son to commit suicide, I personally have never played it before. Although I have not played this particular game I have played many other roll playing games and billions of fiction/fantasy games, and I have no depressed feeling or any want to end my life.

I do believe that the main reason that your son could have committed suicide is because of the controlling attitude you have. You display this attitude in your writing, you erg people (parents) to take control of there kids lives, to know who they are friends with, what they do, how they do it, when they do it, how much they do it. Personally I think that this is a major problem with parents today not just you in particular. I truly believe that some parents do not let there children have basically a "life". This in my opinion depresses kids and really kills there childhood and ultimately runs them to things like cults, drug, booze, and all that jazz. I mean don't get me wrong I think there needs to be supervision, rules, and consequences but only to a certain degree.

I also believe that your controlling way of parenting drove your son to this game to find friends and just have fun. Then again who is to say that he ever played the game? You said your self you kept a close eye on him and what he did, so when would he have played it? Also he could have just had the books because it had "cool" pictures or he wanted to draw a dragon. Did you ever think that he was just another creative teenager? Maybe your controlling approach crushed his creative spirit?

Then again I don't want it to seem like I think it is all your fault and there is nothing good about you, because in reality he had to have had some emotional or mental problems that drove him to the action he took. I just deeply believe that a controlling parent would not have helped the situation, and based on the reaction you took to Dungeons & Dragons it seems that you just want to take control and get ride of the game all together. Which if you think about it is absurd that would be like banning Monopoly. Why would you do something like that?

As a suggestion to parents who read this and thought her article was scary and want to monitor what there children do, this is what I suggest.

1) Do it with your child. like this game, if it interests your child play it with him for a while if your satisfied and he is then your all set. If you don't think its appropriate then you can ban him/her from playing it. Just keep in mind its his choice your just there to see if it is a safe game for him to play or get involved in.

2) Don't over react, talk to your kids

In conclusion I would again like to extend my deepest sorrow to you and your loss. Along with that I would like to say quite bluntly that you are wrong about Dungeons & Dragons being the cause of your sons death. Finally I would like to thank you for showing me that my mom isn't the only controlling parent out there.

much support and thanks

Jason

The Hero!!!!!!!

It was a normal day for Bill, but was it really normal? He woke up to the sound of the emergency phone going Alarm! Alarm! Alarm! He picked it up the phone, it was a distressed citizen describing to him how their fluffy elephant got stuck in a tree. So bill went into his closet and in a split second emerged as a COMMANDER COOL! He ran to the window and jumped, and took off flying to the high heavens. He sored as fast as he could through the city. Then in his view he saw the fluffy elephant, stuck way high in a Redwood tree in the middle of the city. He landed and assessed the situation, first he tried to pick up the elephant and fly back down. To bad his super power wasn't super strength. So he flew down and thought what can I do to save this elephant?

Then it hit him like a pile of feathers, I can summon MIGHTY MUTT! So he yelled as loud as he could MIGHTY MUTT! COME HERE! and in a flash Mighty Mutt was there. The giant great dain was blessed with the power of super strength. So Mighty Mutt got the elephant down, but unfortunately while this was happening Commander Cools Nemesis was here. Someone so evil, so cruel, so demonic, he calls himself THE PLUNGER! Commander Cool took off to combat this formidable enemy, but The Plungers super sucking powers were just to powerful and they over whelmed Commander Cool. Then when The Plunger had Commander Cool sucked in he threw him hard and fast into a far off building. Commander Cool reciprocated fast and took off after The Plunger, but what was he to do? He cant over power him, Mighty Mutt was busy. What would our hero do???

We leave our hero in his deathly situation to share with you these commercials:)

My Tube Story

Okay, well if i was put in a situation that called for me to sacrifice my life for 9 months to save someone Else's life, I really don't know what i would do? I like to think that i would do it no matter who the person was, but then again I think that it would be a very difficult decision for me to make. I also think that if a life time supply of Fruit Loops was thrown into the deal it could tip the scales in the favor of me cooperating. Also the only way I would cooperate is if i was allowed to leave and go have fun for a few hours a week.

I also think that they should give me pretty much anything i want so that i dont get bored or fat. In reality this situation is very hard for me, one because i want to help the guy, but two i want to live my life for 9 months. So i dont really have an answer, but I like to think that i would help the poor guy out in a heart beat.

other than those terms i would be happy to help out

Spongebob Or Patrick

Seeing that i'm not a great thinker like Mr.Ross (or Rachel ). I have my thinking moments at breakfast. For instance this morning I sat there staring at my Fruit Loops and thinking. What if Fruit Loops could think? Do they know they are so yummy? Then i thought about how maybe at night they come to life and have wars with the cornflakes, of course the Fruit Loops would win because they have more flavor. Anywho after I take my first bite i start to think about serious stuff like, how I didn't do my homework! or how I'm grounded AGAIN! Then i start to think about the Yellow PowerRanger (wink wink). Then finally my mind goes back to an empty space that a ping pong ball goes bouncing around.

P.S. (On occasion I have serious thoughts)

P.S.S. (But not often)

Beowulf

This book is the most exciting book I've ever read! It takes you through the adventures of the warrior Beowulf as he travels to the kings kingdom to fight off the evil monster terrorizing the land. he fights this monster and defeats it while other nights had failed miserably. I don't want to give the whole story away, you'll just have to take my word for it. this book is a book that will keep you guessing as to what will happen next and the excitement will have you hooked forever.

From its gory battle scenes to its mystical and dangerous plot line. This book is a riveting read! This book is also something that might appeal mainly to younger teenagers because of its fantasy based theme. Even so it still is an exciting book and anyone could enjoy reading, this book is a perfect mix of excitement and plot. This book is the best book on the planet!!!!

My Feelings

Well we were instructed today to write about ourselves as students. I'm not really entirely sure how to write that, so I thought I would just give you my experience here at High Tech High North County. Well to be honest with you i didn't like the school at first, even before I got here I thought it was a waste and I just was against the idea of the High Tech High school. But the first day really changed my thinking, this is why. Well the number one reason I changed my thinking was because of the most wonderful and amazing Mr.Ross. I know I talk about him alot and say he is so wonderful in all but really he is! I have never meet or had a teach quite as cool and so well at teaching as Mr.Ross. In alot of ways i look up to him,(not just because he is so tall!!!) he is a really great person and i would be lucky to be half the guy he is.

Another reason I changed my thinking is because of all my new friends, like Sammy:),Rachel, Brandee, Alexis, Katherine, Gabby, Katia, Kendaline, Shani, Mrs.Pierce, and more (girls first ahah) then there is ???Mr.Ross!!!!!!!, MENY, MiKe, Chris, James, Jemal, Ricky, Paulino, Josue, Eli, COLE, and much more (i wish i could put Mr.Leader but hes a Boston fan!!! BOOOOOOOOO go YANKEES!!!)

(sorry if i spelled your name wrong!!! i cant spell:()

I think that this whole experience has taught me alot, in the sense that I shouldn't judge something with out giving it a fair shot.

I'm not sure if that describes it but that's what I felt about the matter.

YOU ROCK MR.ROSS!!!!!!!

Thursday, November 1, 2007

This here is the wonderful Mr. Rosses picture (just wanted to give credit)

"Action!!!!!" The director shouted. He had been shouting all day, i thought he might have high colestoral or something. We all went to or positions and started the comercial, it went on for 10 minutes, i must say it was the best Gateway comercial i had ever seen in my life! But thats about the time it went all horribly wrong, first jerestatul was blinded by the fake light and feel over and remained on the floor for the rest of the shoot. Then Ephan became a rebel (this charecter was inspired by Mr.Ross:) so being the rebel he threw his box off. When we asked him why he did it he simply said, "the box made me look BALD!" We all laughed. then since we couldnt see throught the boxes we all wondered around not knowing were to go. so all in all the comercial was a FALIURE! Later on we found out that they dicided to have a bunch of people running with Gateway computers, kind of like a bunch of cattle which just doesnt make sense to me? they told us that our comercial was to meaningless.

AND thats the way the cookie crumbles
